Salary: £37,280 – £42,839 per annum.  We also have an excellent pension scheme with an employer contribution of 19%.

To assist the Fire Safety Manager in implementing, monitoring and reviewing the Housing Executive’s Fire Safety Policies, Processes and Procedures and ensure the NIHE is fully compliant with its statutory and regulatory undertakings that reduces any risk to its customers, employees, and third parties to as low as reasonably practicable.

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

·       1. i) Possess a Degree or equivalent Level 6* qualification in an Architecture/Building Construction/Fire Safety related discipline PLUS 2 years’ relevant experience working in a building/construction or fire safety related function (Please include dates)

OR

·       ii) BTEC Higher or equivalent Level 5* qualification in Architecture/Building Construction/Fire Safety related discipline PLUS 3 years’ relevant experience working within a Building/Construction or Fire Safety related function

OR

·       iii) Can demonstrate equivalent continuing professional development or experiential learning PLUS a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience working within a Building/Construction or Fire Safety related function

2. For the purpose of shortlisting, candidates must demonstrate significant experience in all of the following:

  • A) Experience in developing, facilitating and undertaking Fire Risk Assessments and producing associated risk reduction Actions Plans
  • B) Experience in managing and delivering works in line with agreed targets, budgets, standards, policies and procedures
  • C) Experience in both assessing and achieving Fire Safety Compliance across a range of domestic and “non-domestic” properties
  • D) Experience of working with the various Statutory Authorities in pursuit of legislative compliance
  • E) Experience of developing and/or implementing Fire Safety policies and procedures, and providing training and advice in relation to these
  • 3. Candidates must possess a current driving licence or have access to a form of transport that enables them to meet the requirements of the post in full.
