Accounting Assistant (Financial Accounting)

Salary; £32,597 – £36,363 per annum. We also have an excellent pension scheme with an employer contribution of 19%.
The post holder will be responsible for providing support to the Financial Accounting team by assisting in the completion of the NIHE Annual Report and Accounts, maintaining accurate records, collation of financial information and preparation of financial reports and bank reconciliations.

Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- 1. i) A degree level qualification (Level 6*) or an equivalent level qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business Studies

- iii) Can demonstrate equivalent continuing professional development/experiential learning and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience may also be considered. (Please include dates) AND
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a Financial Accounting function to include relevant experience as noted in point 2 below
OR
- ii) A Level 5* qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business Studies (same as above)
AND
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a Financial Accounting function to include relevant experience as noted in point 2 below.

- Relevant experience in ALL of the following areas:
- A) The use of an integrated financial management system.
- B) The use of a fixed asset accounting system (covering both additions, disposals, depreciation and revaluations).
- C) The use of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level.
- D) Completion of complex account reconciliation exercises.

- 3. Candidates must possess a current driving licence or have access to a form of transport that enables them to meet the requirements of the post in full.
