The Forum facilitated three sessions in 2004 in Belfast. These seminars explored lessons from a number of DDA cases taken to tribunal as well as discussing the implications of changes to the DDA implemented on 1 October 2004. The seminars were interactive, and drew upon the key lessons learned from DDA Case Law to date. They were led by Mr Daniel Fitzpatrick LLM, a Partner with Comerton & Hill Solicitors, Belfast, a commercial firm with an employment law practice.
The Forum organised a major conference featuring those disability award winning policies and practices of the winners at the Employer Recognition Awards earlier this year. This was a full day conference on Tuesday 30 November 2004. The event was hosted by our new Patron Nuala McKeever and key presentations included:
