Sensory Impairment Half Day Seminar: Visual and Hearing Disability Best Practice

The Employers' Forum on Disability (NI), in partnership with Belfast City Council,held a half day Sensory Impairment Seminar on Tuesday 6 February 2007 in the Reception Hall, Belfast City Hall .  This was funded by the Department for Employment and Learning and was free of charge for delegates  The Royal National Institute for Deaf People and the Royal National Institute of the Blind each delivered a session on hearing and visual awareness issues and the provision of reasonable adjustments for people with hearing and visual impairments.   In addition an Access to Work Adviser provided details of how local businesses have received assistance from the Department for Employment and Learning to employ and retain employees with hearing and visual impairments.
