DDA Case Law Seminar

The Employers' Forum on Disability (NI) organised a half-day seminar on 17 January 2007.  This fully booked event was held in the NICVA Building, Belfast. Professor Barry Fitzpatrick provided information on the Disability Discrimination Act, focusing on a number of key cases taken under this legislation.  A number of case studies were discussed in detail and there were opportunities for questions from the delegates.

Tony O'Reilly, from the Equality Commission for NI, followed this with an outline of the new disability duties for public sector organisations which were introduced at the beginning of January 2007.
